Back To The Future Film Opening

We have decided to remake the first two minutes of Back To The Future. This is because it is fairly simple with regards to camera work and the titles used are easily replicated in terms of font and colour.

Another reason we chose this opening is that we already have many of the props that are needed.

Why are we remaking a Film Opening?

We are going to remake the opening to a film. The film is Back to the Future, we have chosen this as it is a simple opening which means we can focus on the opening titles. We will be recreating up to the first two minutes.

When choosing which film to remake we will consider:

• Camera angles used
• Pace of editing
• Title integration
• Props needed

This will allow us to chose an appropriate film opening to remake.

 

Remaking a film opening will allow us to gain an insight into how they are constructed and how titles are integrated throughout.

 

We will consider what we have learnt from our film opening analyses as they will help us decide which film opening to remake.
