Hypothetical Casting

Channing Tatum: We have decided that Channing Tatum will be our main protagonist (John) since he has been the protagonist in a number of other action films (e.g. White House Down). We have also decided that he would be good for the role as he is still fairly young, this is good as in the storyline they are meant to be orphans who have grown up into the agency. Additionally his young appearance might find him more relatable. This may also bring fans of his work to watch our movie therefore bringer a large volume of our target audience to the screening.

 

Liam Neeson: We have decided that our main antagonist will be Liam Neeson (The Director). Much like the protagonist he has also been in a number of action movies (e.g. Taken). We know that he can play a dark role very well as he has demonstrated in other movies. We also known he can act like a good leader much like his role in the A-Team (Hannibal). Having him act in our movie may also bring some older members of the public to screenings of our movie, since may include certain areas of our target audience as well.


Dan Stevens: We have decided to have Dan Stevens as the Ryan (John's Brother). This is because in other films he has done well in his roles in other movies. He also is fairly young much like Channing Tatum and therefore it seems more likely that they would be brothers in our film. This helps make our movie more realistic and therefore more believable for the audience. Making Dan in our film will attract more of our target audience to screenings of our film.

Looking at the potential actors for our film has made us think of the kind of actors (personality, build) we want in our movie. It has also given us a idea of the age of the actors we need for our film since we need to attract the correct target audience we are aiming for.
