Our Film Certification

We plan to make our film a 15 because…

·         We are going to add some violent fight scene

·         Our target audience is 15 – 35

·         We’re going for a gritty theme for our film

These factors mean we need to make it a 15 since it will include mild violence scenes as seen in other 15s. These scene will not be very graphic to the point that it needs to be an 18. Our film will also be as realistic as possible therefore activities done in the movie may be close to things that can be done in real life therefore it cannot be a 12 or 12A.

Film certification is done by the BBFC and after researching into the guidelines other film will most likely be in the 15 or 18 category because it has...

• No discriminatory language
• No drugs or use of drugs
• No easily accessible weapons, but slightly imitable behaviour
• No strong language
• No nudity
• No sexual activities
• No horror scenes
• Fairly strong violence during a fight scene.
