The Whole Film

The film our opening will be from is a film about a man who works for an intelligence agency and has been framed by someone in the agency, saying that he stole top secret information and gave it to a Russian criminal gang. John Craig, the orphan protagonist, was raised from childhood to be the perfect agent. He spends the rest of the film running away from the agents sent to kill him and trying to prove his innocence.

Scenes:

• S1 - John Craig (the main protagonist) is on a mission to deploy a package given to him by his employer when he receives a call from his friend at the agency, whom is in a gunfight and calls him to tell him that he's been set up and that it's a trap. His friend then gets shot and dies, which John can hear on the phone, and John realises that the man he is supposed to deliver the package to will try to kill him. A fistfight ensues, in which John kills his adversary and walks off.
• S2 - John is travelling to a safe house. Close up on glove box (undamaged - later it will be slightly scuffed, telling him that a tracker has been placed underneath).
• S3 - John goes to a safe house (childhood home) to recuperate and come up with a plan to prove his innocence.
• S4 - Man from agency calls John to say he has information on the man who framed him.
• S5 - John meets with the man from the agency - he knows he can trust him - to get files about the man who framed him.
• S6 - While leaving, he gets shot in the shoulder/pectoral region and drops the files. A gunfight ensues, in which his friend dies and John escapes to a car and drives to his hideout.
• S7 - (Fast-paced) John enters his hideout and starts to heat a knife on the hob. He leaves the knife sitting on the hob and moves over to the cupboard and pulls out a bottle of rubbing alcohol. He rubs down the wound and takes a sip from the bottle to ease the pain. He then uses the knife to cut out the bullet and passes out from the pain.
• S8 - He wakes up to a man nursing him back to health. He then finds out that the man is his brother (he thought his brother had died with his parents in a car crash - that's what the agency told him). His brother, Ryan, was also trained by the agency from childhood but they were never re-introduced. He doesn't believe him but then he shows a shared family heirloom and shares a story about his parents.
• S9 - Flashback of story about parents.
• S10 - They continue to plan out proving his innocence - plan includes breaking into the agency and talking to the director, who is constantly guarded.
• S11 - John is driving back from a shop, in which he bought food for him and his brother, when he notices a slight scuff on the glove box. He looks underneath and finds a tracker. He immediately stops the car and gets out, running away. A missile then launches into the car, killing an innocent man, passing by. He then puts the man into the car so that when they search it they will think they had killed John for a short period of time, until they get the autopsy results.
• S12 - After walking back to the safe house, John tells Ryan about the incident and they decide to act quickly, before they realise John is alive.
• S13 - They drive to the agency, park outside and then begin to talk about any worries/doubts they have about the mission.
• S14 - They enter the agency and are successfully going unnoticed.
• S15 - Guard sees them and sounds an alarm, they kill the guard and Ryan tells John that he will sort it out and that John should move on (he says he is going to cause a distraction, but John doesn't know that he means giving himself up and claiming that he was alone).
• S16 John makes it past the guards in the hallways and makes it to the director's office. He talks to the director and it is revealed that the director was the person who framed him all along - John made a mistake on a previous mission that cost the life of the director's sister.
• S17 - Flashback of mission, where John accidentally caused the director's sister's death.
• S18 - The director pulls a gun on John, John manages to disarm the director and a fistfight ensues, in which the director is thrown to the floor. The director's secretary comes in to talk to him and he takes the opportunity to pick back up the gun and use her as a hostage. Ryan appears in an armed helicopter out the window and makes the director lie down on the ground with his arms behind his head (Ryan ran into his friend in the agency, when trying to cause a distraction, who helped him secure the helicopter).
• S19 - The director is jailed and John is cleared of all charges (courtroom scene).
• S20 - John is at home and sees a news broadcast about the agency being disbanded - it had become known to the public because of the trial and had blown it's cover.
• S21 - John receives information from the government about his new identity in the post and then he receives a phone call from an anonymous caller about the possibility that his parents are still alive. End.
